Features & Benefits
Tailored CTE Matching
Copper layers provide high thermal and electrical conductivity, while Kovar, Invar or 4J42 core materials tailor the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) to match ceramics (Al2O3, AlN) and glass, preventing seal cracking.
Integrated Brazing
Copper layers act as a brazing filler or diffusion barrier. Structures like 4J29/Cu/4J29 enable direct ceramic metallization bonding without separate brazing preforms.
Stress Buffer and Symmetry
Symmetric clad designs (Cu/Invar/Cu, 4J29/Cu/4J29) balance bimetallic bending stress during thermal cycling, improving package flatness and hermetic life.
Automation Ready
Supplied in continuous strips, the product replaces stamped solid Kovar parts, addresses brazing preform alignment challenges and fits high-speed pick-and-place and automated seam brazing.
Material & Energy Savings
Reduces pure Kovar usage, lowers sintering/brazing temperature load, simplifies process steps, and meets miniaturization needs of ICs and crystal oscillators.
